Terms and Conditions
Last updated 11 October 2026
These terms apply when you register for, pay for or attend a Lumr Academy program or masterclass. Please read them before you register. By registering, you agree to them.
“We”, “us” and “our” mean Lumr Studio. “You” means the person registering.
1. What these terms cover
These terms cover our public programs and masterclasses, such as AI for SMBs, AI Basics and Vibe Coding. Training for organisations (including AI for Leaders) and Lumr Labs projects are covered by a separate written proposal or agreement. Where that agreement doesn’t cover something, these terms apply.
2. Registering and paying
- Registering on our website requests a place. It isn’t a confirmed booking yet.
- We’ll reply within 2 business days to confirm availability and send payment details.
- Your place is confirmed once we receive your payment.
- Prices are in Australian dollars. Your invoice shows whether GST applies.
- Places are limited and confirmed in the order payments arrive.
3. If you need to cancel or change your booking
Tell us by emailing info@lumrstudio.com. What we can offer depends on how much notice you give.
Full programs
- 7 days or more before the first session: you can move to a later group of the same program, or take a credit for any Lumr Academy training. Moves and credits must be used within 12 months.
- Less than 7 days before the first session: we can’t offer a refund or credit, but you can send someone else in your place if you tell us at least 48 hours before the first session.
- Once the program has started: we can’t offer refunds, moves or credits. If you miss a session in a recorded program, you can catch up with the recording.
Masterclasses
- 48 hours or more before the session: you can move to another date for the same module, or take a credit for any Lumr Academy training, used within 12 months.
- Less than 48 hours before the session: we can’t offer a refund or credit, but you can send someone else in your place.
Credits can only be used by you, or by someone you nominate in writing. Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (see section 10).
4. If we cancel or reschedule
Occasionally we may need to cancel or move a session, for example because of illness or a technical failure. We’ll give you as much notice as we can, and you can choose:
- a full refund for anything not delivered,
- a move to the next available date or group, or
- a credit for any other Lumr Academy training, used within 12 months.
We’re not responsible for other costs you incur because of a change, such as time off work.
5. Online sessions and technology
- Sessions run live online unless we say otherwise. We’ll send joining details before each session.
- You need a computer, a reliable internet connection, and any tools listed on the program page. For example, AI for SMBs needs a paid subscription to an AI assistant such as Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini.
- We use outside services, such as video call platforms, to run sessions. We can’t control their outages, but if a session can’t go ahead because of a problem on our side or theirs, we’ll reschedule it at no cost to you.
- Some programs are recorded. Our Privacy Policy explains how recordings are shared and kept.
6. Behaviour in sessions
We want every session to be a good place to learn. We may remove anyone who is abusive, discriminatory or seriously disruptive, without a refund.
7. Course materials
Our slides, guides, templates, prompts, recordings and other materials belong to Lumr Studio. When you attend, you can use them in your own work and across your own business. You can’t copy, share, sell or publish them, or use them to train other people, without our written permission.
8. Using AI tools
We teach with third-party AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini. We don’t own or control these tools, and their own terms and privacy policies apply when you use them. In particular:
- Check how a tool handles your data before entering anything confidential or personal, such as client details. Follow your own business’s and clients’ requirements.
- AI tools can produce wrong or misleading answers. Check outputs before relying on them.
- Tools, features and prices change often, so some details may change after your training.
9. Our training is general education
Our programs teach general skills. They aren’t legal, financial, tax or other professional advice for your situation, so get professional advice before making important decisions. We teach with care, but we can’t guarantee specific results, such as time or money saved, because these depend on how you apply what you learn.
10. Your consumer rights and our liability
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. You’re entitled to guarantees that our services will be delivered with due care and skill, and to remedies if they’re not.
As far as the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits or business interruption. Where our liability can be limited, it’s limited to supplying the service again or refunding the fees you paid for it.
11. Things outside our control
We’re not responsible for delays or cancellations caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as natural disasters, major internet outages, or government orders. If this happens, section 4 applies.
12. Disputes and governing law
If something goes wrong, please contact us first and we’ll try to sort it out. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time, and the date at the top shows when they last changed. Bookings you’ve already paid for stay under the terms that applied when you paid.
