Privacy Policy
Last updated 11 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information Lumr Studio collects, why, and what we do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
“We”, “us” and “our” mean Lumr Studio, including Lumr Academy (training) and Lumr Labs (implementation).
What we collect
We only collect what we need to run our training and services:
- When you register for a program or masterclass: your name, email, business name (if you give it), what you’re registering for, and any note you add.
- When you join the newsletter: your email address.
- When you book a call or email us: your name, email, and whatever you choose to tell us.
- When you pay: invoice and payment records. We don’t store card details ourselves.
- When you attend a session: your attendance, and anything you share in the session, including in recordings (see below).
- When you work with Lumr Labs: the business information and files needed for the project.
Cookies and tracking
This website doesn’t use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs, such as IP addresses, to keep the site secure and running. If we add analytics later, we’ll update this policy first.
How we use it
- To confirm your place, arrange payment and run the sessions you’ve booked
- To send you session details, materials and recordings
- To answer your questions and deliver Lumr Labs projects
- To send our newsletter, if you’ve joined it
- To improve our programs
- To meet our legal obligations, such as keeping tax records
We never sell, rent or trade your personal information.
Newsletter and marketing emails
We only send the newsletter to people who sign up for it. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link, or you can email info@lumrstudio.com and we’ll remove you.
Session recordings
Some programs, including AI for SMBs, are recorded so participants can catch up on sessions they miss. A recording can include your name, video, voice, chat messages and anything you share on screen.
- Recordings are only shared with people booked into that session or group.
- We keep them for 12 months, then delete them.
- We won’t use recordings that show you in marketing without asking you first.
- You can keep your camera and microphone off, and use a display name instead of your full name.
Who we share it with
We use these services to run Lumr Studio. Each one only receives what it needs to do its job:
- Netlify: hosts this website and receives the registration and newsletter forms (United States)
- Google Workspace: email, and the calendar we use for booking calls (United States and other countries)
- Zoom: runs our online sessions, and stores session recordings (United States)
Because some of these services store information outside Australia, your information may be held overseas. We choose established providers with strong security practices. We may also share information where the law requires it.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including secure (encrypted) connections, password-protected accounts and two-step sign-in where available. When we no longer need information, we delete it.
We keep financial records for 7 years, as Australian tax law requires. Registration and training records are kept for up to 2 years, and newsletter details until you unsubscribe.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, by emailing info@lumrstudio.com. We’ll respond within 30 days. We may need to keep some records where the law requires it, such as tax records.
Complaints
If you’re concerned about how we’ve handled your information, email info@lumrstudio.com and we’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We’ll update this page when we change how we handle personal information, for example when we start using a new tool. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
